Snake Mountain Guide Service is an insured business, licensed by the State of Nevada. We operate on private property and are also permitted on BLM land.

We are offering you a chance to hunt Trophy Mule Deer, Antelope and Elk and have a wonderful time as well. Our staff is professional yet friendly, a formula proven over the years to make your hunt an enjoyable experience. Our guiding service is run with personal attention to each hunters needs. We can operate on a one guide to two or more hunter ratio, as some hunters prefer to hunt in groups or with friends.

Our hunts, on the average, are four days long with time for arrivals and departures. Complete accommodations are furnished, which include: Guides, lodging in outfitter tents equipped with wood stoves, we also have a large tent set up for dining and socializing. Two delicious home cooked meals are served family style each day. Sack lunches are also provided.

Snake Mountain Guide Service is located in Northeastern Nevada in the beautiful Snake Mountain Range, on private property owned by Mary’s River Ranch.

Base camp is located at the mouth of Stormy Canyon, 28 miles north of Wells Nevada. With your Area 7 tag we will be hunting in unit 075.

The Snake Mountains in area 7 are home to resident Deer, Elk and Antelope as well as being a natural migration area situated between the Jarbidge summer range and the Pequop and Goshute Mountain winter ranges, with elevations ranging from 6,000 to 9,000 feet. The area is full of Quaken Aspen and Mahogany trees with a few scattered Pines. This makes for a picturesque area as well as prime Trophy Deer, Elk and Antelope country.

We also offer excellent lake and stream trout fishing to test your skills. Lake fishing is on a catch and release program only (barbless hooks required).

Snake Mountain Guide Service is owned and operated by Harvey L. Pete, and was established in the late 1980's.
